Hercules fleet. The MOD has confirmed that a fire suppression system is to be fitted to the
fuel tanks of those C130s deemed most at risk from groundfire. It is in line with the recommendation of the board of inquiry into last

Thu, 13 April 2006 In Southern Afghanistan the deployment of British troops in the new expanded mission is well underway. Next month Britain will take over the running of the Provincial Reconstruction Team or PRT in Helmand. In June the UK Task Force based around a 3 Bn Parachute Regiment Battle Group will go operational. Meanwhile there are increased fears about the security situation in the troubled Helmand province.
